Sweet Corn

Sweet corn variety 'Aromatna' is a high-yielding, mid-early variety intended for table use. Technical maturity occurs 70–80 days after emergence, while biological maturity is reached 85–115 days later. The plant is of medium height — 140 to 190 cm — with few leaves on the stalks, forming conical or cylindrical ears approximately 16–18 cm long and weighing 200–220 g. Ears are positioned 40–45 cm above soil surface and contain 12–19 rows of kernels, with 38–40 kernels per row. Kernels are round, pale-yellow in milk stage and bright yellow at full maturity. Variety 'Aromatna' features high sugar content — 5.9 to 8% — imparting a rich sweet flavor and aroma. Due to these qualities, the corn is ideal for fresh consumption, as well as for canning and freezing. Additionally, the variety demonstrates high resistance to cold, drought, lodging, and major diseases and pests, ensuring a stable and uniform yield even under adverse weather conditions. Yield reaches 95–100 centners of clean ears per hectare, making it attractive for cultivation both in home gardens and commercial agriculture. Its excellent market appearance and juicy kernels make 'Aromatna' corn a versatile product suitable for various preparation and storage methods, including boiling, canning, and freezing.
