Carlton CL

Carlton CL — a high-yielding hybrid of winter rape, developed using Clearfield® technology. This hybrid is well-adapted to various climatic conditions, including continental zones of Ukraine and regions of Europe, and performs well under drought conditions. Thanks to the combination of breeding achievements and the Clearfield® production system, Carlton CL provides effective weed control and stable high yields.

The hybrid is characterized by high winter hardiness and drought resistance, enabling it to successfully withstand spring frosts and adverse weather conditions. Carlton CL also exhibits high resistance to lodging and pod cracking, reducing yield losses and minimizing the risk of pod shatter in subsequent crops. Its medium-height plant type with intensive growth and high 1000-seed weight contributes to forming a stable and high-quality yield.

Recommended sowing periods are mid-to-late, with a seeding rate of 400,000 to 550,000 seeds per hectare, optimally around 500,000. The hybrid belongs to type 00 (non-erect), with a high yield potential of up to 70 centners per hectare and oil content around 9%. Additional agronomic advantages include moderate vegetative recovery, low glucosinolate content, and high tolerance to diseases such as white rot and phomopsis. All these characteristics make Carlton CL a universal and reliable choice for modern rape cultivation technologies.
