HERZOG

Herzog is a medium-maturing spring variety of rape (Brassica napus var. napus) of type 00, characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. This oilseed variety is distinguished by its high oleic acid content and significant oil level in seeds, reaching up to 48%. The mass of 1000 seeds varies from 3.3 to 4.5 grams, indicating good quality seed material. The vegetative period is 109-112 days, and flowering time is medium or late, allowing the variety to adapt to various climatic conditions.

Herzog variety plants are tall and long, including side branches, with a height from 100 to 106 cm. The variety has high resistance to lodging (4.6-4.8 points) and shattering (4.3 points), which contributes to crop preservation and reduced losses during harvest. Additionally, Herzog demonstrates drought resistance and tolerance to major leaf and stem diseases, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions.

Average yield of the variety in cultivation regions ranges from 13.8 to 38.2 centners per hectare, confirming its high productivity. Fat content in seeds is at the level of 42.8%, and protein content in meal reaches 22.4-26.8%, making this variety attractive for the oilseed industry and feed production. Herzog is recommended for cultivation in the Central, Middle Volga, and Northwestern regions of Russia, including Yaroslavl, Bryansk, and Ivanovo regions.
