Arkansas

Arkansas — a high-yielding winter rapeseed hybrid developed by Limagrain and adapted for cultivation in Ukraine, particularly in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions. This hybrid is distinguished by its high yield potential, exceeding 70 centners per hectare, and oil content in seeds reaching 48–50%, making it attractive for oilseed production.

The Arkansas hybrid belongs to the mid-early maturity group, with mid-early sowing and spring growth. It exhibits high adaptability to various growing conditions due to exceptional resistance to major rapeseed diseases such as phoma, verticillium, and sclerotinia. Special protection is provided by the presence of RLM3 and RLM7 genes, which significantly enhance tolerance to phoma and contribute to yield stability.

The recommended seeding rate is 400–500 thousand seeds per hectare, which optimizes plant development and promotes maximum productivity. Oil and glucosinolate content in seeds meet agricultural crop standards, confirming the hybrid’s high quality. Arkansas is a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve a stable and high yield of rapeseed under various climatic conditions.
