Rapeseed Simba

Reliable Yields in Challenging Climatic Conditions

Winter rapeseed «Simba» from the Swedish breeding house Lantmannen SW Seed AB is a preferred choice for agronomists focused on minimizing wintering risks. The variety demonstrates high adaptability to northern and temperate climatic zones, making it a strategic asset for farms operating in regions with unstable spring moisture and sharp temperature fluctuations.

Field Application and Management

In field conditions, «Simba» has proven itself as a culture with intensive root system development from the autumn stage. This is a key factor for successful winter survival. The vegetation characteristics allow farmers to:

• Optimize sowing timelines: the hybrid shows excellent results across a wide planting window.
• Reduce fungicide costs: thanks to genetically inherent resistance to common cruciferous diseases.
• Ensure uniform ripening: «Simba» features a uniform habit, simplifying combine settings and reducing losses during direct harvesting.

Using this variety is practical on soils with varying fertility levels, although its maximum potential is realized when following intensive farming technologies, including a full complex of macro- and micronutrient application.

Why Agronomists Choose Lantmannen SW Seed

Swedish breeding prioritizes stress resistance and economic efficiency. «Simba» is not just seed material; it is a risk management tool. Stable yields year after year allow for effective commodity planning, minimizing the impact of natural factors on the farm's bottom line.
