Quinta

Quinta is a new winter rapeseed hybrid designed for cultivation in various regions of Ukraine, including the Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polissia. It is well-suited for light soils and exhibits high winter hardiness, ensuring reliable winter survival and rapid vegetation recovery in spring. Rapeseed Quinta belongs to the medium-early maturity group, with moderate autumn development and rapid spring growth, as well as early flowering, which contributes to efficient use of the vegetation period. Agronomic characteristics of Quinta include high yield and oil content potential, as well as intensive branching. The hybrid shows increased resistance to pod splitting and seed shattering, reducing harvest losses. Disease resistance is demonstrated by high resistance to phoma (RLM7) and moderate resistance to sclerotinia and alternaria. Glucosinolate content in seeds is low — less than 17-18 μmol/g — which positively affects oil quality. The recommended plant density at harvest is 400-550 thousand per hectare, optimizing both yield and product quality. Quinta is grown using conventional technology and demonstrates high drought resistance and stable yields under various climatic conditions. This hybrid is a promising choice for farmers aiming to produce high-quality, high-efficiency oilseed rapeseed.
