Rapeseed ARABESK CL

Working with Arabesk CL

When transitioning to the Clearfield production system, selecting the right hybrid is paramount. The "Arabesk CL" by Monsanto is a reliable choice for farmers tackling weed pressure, particularly in fields with heavy infestations of cruciferous weeds. As a winter rapeseed variety, it offers predictable performance and responds well to standard management practices.

Performance and Agronomic Value

The core advantage for the operator is the simplified weed control strategy. Being a clearfield-tolerant hybrid, it allows for effective herbicide application without suppressing the crop's development. The hybrid stands out for several reasons:

• High Oil Content: Consistently hitting the 45–48% mark, which is a key factor for profitability at harvest.
• Quality Standards: Low erucic acid levels make the yield highly desirable for downstream processing and international markets.
• Ease of Management: As a simple hybrid, it is consistent in development, making it easier to time fungicide and fertilizer applications.

In terms of harvest logistics, Arabesk CL is remarkably stable. It shows good resistance to pod shattering, allowing for some flexibility if weather conditions during harvest are less than ideal. Its winter hardiness is robust, making it a dependable option for diverse climatic zones. For an operator, this means less time spent managing risk and more time maximizing yield potential per hectare.
