Limo

Sunflower Limo is an early-maturing hybrid developed by Limagrain, characterized by high yield and adapted for cultivation in southern and central regions of Ukraine. Plants reach an average height of about 140 cm, and the flower head diameter is approximately 17 cm. The hybrid seeds have an average weight of 67 g per thousand seeds and contain a significant amount of oil-containing components, making Limo a sought-after raw material for the oilseed industry.

Hybrid LG50480 exhibits high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including root and head white rot, phomopsis, phomosis, gray and dry rot, sooty mold, as well as false powdery mildew. Additionally, it is tolerant to seven races of downy mildew and some new forms of this pathogen. Plants are resistant to lodging and pests, ensuring stable yields even under adverse weather conditions, such as late frosts and dry periods.

Limo is characterized by rapid growth and good root system development, which contributes to its adaptability to various cultivation technologies, including high-intensity methods. Due to its short vegetation period, the hybrid is suitable for regions with limited agricultural seasons. It also demonstrates drought, wind, and temperature fluctuation tolerance, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality yields.
