Pollinated by bees. Plant with long internodes. Yield — 3.3–3.8 kg/m². Agronomic features: for open ground and temporary film coverings. Ripening period: early maturing, begins fruiting on day 45–50 after emergence. Fruits are large-bump, black-spined, 10–14 cm long, peduncle 5–7 cm, fruit mass up to 130 g. Resistant to false powdery mildew and bacterial spot. Use: for canning and pickling. The special value of the Competitor variety lies in its resistance to powdery mildew, which increases the guaranteed yield of maximum harvest. Due to its long peduncle, the green fruits are easy to harvest. The Competitor variety is distinguished by excellent flavor both fresh and preserved fruits.
