The SMK-5 seeder is designed for simultaneous sowing of five rows of small-seed vegetable crops in greenhouses, polytunnels, and open ground.
Technical specifications of the SMK-5 seeder
The seeder is a modular assembly.
Number of rows sown simultaneously — 5.
Row spacing — 60 mm.
Height — 240 mm, length — 260 mm, width — 360 mm.
Seeder mechanism SMK-5
The seeder consists of five sowing units with SMK-1 hopper units mounted on a common shaft. The sowing nozzles of SMK-1 and SMK-5 seeders have similar construction and purpose, but are not interchangeable due to different seed furrow spacing. Each sowing unit is equipped with one sowing nozzle for radish, carrot, parsley, and is rigidly fixed to the seeder's transverse bar with a 60 mm axis interval. Additional nozzles for other crops or calibrated hybrid seed nozzles can be purchased. To ensure reliable operation and precise sowing, the seeder is equipped with a brush-type limiter and seed discharger.
Operating principle
The seeder operates on a principle similar to the SMK-1 seeder. For uniform sowing, each sowing unit must be carefully adjusted.
