The hybrid sweet corn NEUTRINO, developed by the German company Saaten-Union, is a mid-season variety with a FAO index of 221-240, intended for silage use in dairy farming. This hybrid features a silica-toothed kernel type and simple structure, ensuring vigorous plant growth and development. High cold and stress resistance allows successful cultivation even under adverse climatic conditions, which is especially important for regions with variable weather. Plants reach a height of 300–325 cm, and the ears have a conical-cylindrical shape, facilitating efficient harvest.
NEUTRINO demonstrates increased silage yield, exceeding standard benchmarks by approximately 7%. The hybrid is versatile and suitable for both intensive and extensive cultivation technologies, making it a profitable choice for various farms. Thanks to stable development throughout the entire vegetation period and the StayGreen effect, plants retain green mass longer, improving silage quality and enhancing dairy productivity.
The optimal seeding rate is 85-100 thousand plants per hectare for grain production and 95-110 thousand per hectare for silage use. The NEUTRINO hybrid strengthens the position of the Belarusian industry in the global market, ensuring high productivity and adaptability to new cultivation conditions. Its application improves milk production efficiency by enhancing feed quality and disease resistance.
