Description Snowhead
Snowhead — an early-maturing, high-yielding variety of cauliflower, an improved version of the Snowball variety. The vegetation period ranges from 75 to 82 days depending on growing conditions. The plant is compact, forming a dense, white, well-protected head with a diameter of up to 19 cm and a weight of 1.5 to 2.2 kg. Due to these characteristics, this variety is suitable for spring-summer and autumn cultivation.

Snowhead is grown using seedling cultivation and direct sowing. Seeds germinate at a temperature of +5-6°C, and the optimal temperature for growth and head formation is +15-18°C; growth is impaired at temperatures above +25°C. Seedlings are transplanted at 45-60 days old with a density of 2.0-4.5 plants per square meter. Water shortage during the vegetation period slows growth and may lead to premature flowering. Suitable soils for successful cultivation are fertile loamy and light clay soils with neutral to slightly acidic reaction (pH 6-7).

Snowhead cauliflower heads have excellent taste qualities and are versatile in use. They are used for making salads, soups, side dishes, and are also pickled and preserved. Due to their dense structure and good head protection, this variety is valued for both home and commercial cultivation.
