Broccoli cabbage Marathon F1 — a late hybrid developed by the Japanese company Sakata. This variety is characterized by high yield and adaptability to various growing conditions, successfully developing both in open ground and under cover. The plant is strong and large, forming round, dome-shaped heads of dark green color with a slight bluish tint, weighing from 400 grams to 1 kilogram. The maturation period is about 75-80 days, allowing cultivation in spring and autumn seasons.

The Marathon F1 hybrid has high resistance to Perenospora parasitica disease, ensuring good field health and crop preservation. Planting is recommended at a density of 36-44 thousand plants per hectare. The cabbage withstands transportation without loss of quality and retains freshness even if harvesting is delayed. However, this variety is not recommended for cultivation in hot climates, as it poorly tolerates high temperatures.

Marathon F1 is suitable for both fresh consumption and processing. Its heads are suitable for canning and freezing, making this hybrid versatile for various uses. The seeds have high germination rates, confirmed by a count of 200 to 350 seeds per gram. Production and selection of this variety are carried out in Japan, ensuring high quality and stable characteristics.
