Synergy of Active Ingredients: How SULAM Works

The efficiency of the «Sulam» herbicide is based on the combination of florasulam and 2,4-D. This pairing provides a "double-strike" effect, enabling the control of a wide spectrum of broad-leaved weeds, including those resistant to sulfonylureas. Florasulam acts as an ALS inhibitor, blocking the synthesis of essential amino acids, while 2,4-D induces uncontrolled cell growth, leading to deformation and death of the weed.

Technical Composition Analysis

• Systemic Action: Thanks to its systemic mechanism, the product is rapidly absorbed by leaf surfaces and translocated throughout the entire plant, including the root system, which is crucial for controlling perennial weeds.
• Selectivity: Sulam is a selective herbicide, allowing its application on wheat, barley, and maize crops without harming the plants, as they are capable of metabolizing the active ingredients rapidly.
• Formulation: The water-suspension concentrate ensures high stability of the working solution and optimal adhesion to the waxy layer of leaves, minimizing drift during application.

Field Application Guidelines

The application rate is 0.4–0.6 L/ha, with only one treatment required per season. Sulam is highly effective against aggressive weed species such as common ragweed, catchweed bedstraw, white goosefoot, and shepherd's purse. Maximum efficiency is achieved during the active growth stage (2–4 true leaves). The operational temperature range allows application starting from +8-10°C, providing a tactical advantage during early spring operations when weeds have begun to grow, but crops are still in their initial development phase.
