"Prosper, SE" is a selective systemic herbicide designed to address a wide range of broad-leaved weeds in winter wheat. The product relies on the synergy between Florasulam and 2,4-D. 2,4-D acts as an auxin-like growth regulator, inducing rapid, uncontrolled cell division and eventual tissue destruction. Simultaneously, Florasulam acts as an ALS (acetolactate synthase) inhibitor, blocking the biosynthesis of essential amino acids. This combination is particularly effective against tenacious weeds like Galium aparine (cleavers), which are often resistant to single-mode-of-action herbicides.

Formulation and Application Technology

The product is formulated as a water-suspension concentrate (SE). This technological choice improves the stability of the tank mix and enhances leaf coverage. The formulation ensures that the active ingredients adhere well to the leaf surface, preventing runoff and allowing for consistent absorption. This is crucial for achieving high biological efficacy while maintaining a safety profile for the cereal crop.

Operational Guidelines

• Application Strategy: Used as a post-emergence (insurance) herbicide, the ideal timing is from the tillering stage to the stem elongation stage of winter wheat.
• Spectrum: Highly effective against annual and perennial broad-leaved weeds.
• Dosage and Restrictions: The application rate is 0.4–0.6 L/ha. To ensure crop safety and efficacy, the policy of a single treatment per season must be strictly followed.
