Starane 250

Working with Starane 250: efficiency and precision

Controlling tough weeds like cleavers or field bindweed in cereal crops is a constant challenge. As a systemic, selective herbicide, it offers a deep action, targeting the roots of weeds without harming the crop itself.

Operational insights

Starane 250, being an emulsifiable concentrate, mixes perfectly in the spray tank. It doesn't clog nozzles, which is a major time-saver during the busy spray season. Since this is a post-emergence, foliar-applied herbicide, timing is key—getting it on the field when the weeds are in their active growth stage is the secret to success.

Key advantages for farm management:

• Flexibility: With a pre-harvest interval of only 1 day, it fits perfectly into tight scheduling.
• Targeted action: It is highly effective against stubborn weeds like Canada thistle, white goosefoot, and stinging nettle, without risking the main crop.
• Application rate: The dosage range of 0.5–1.0 l/ha allows for cost-effective weed management based on the specific pressure in each field.

It is the go-to insurance policy when weed pressure spikes. If you are looking for a product that is easy to handle, doesn't require constant maintenance of your application equipment, and delivers consistent results, this is a solid choice from DOW AgroSciences.
