The Mechanism of Systemic Action

Unlike contact herbicides, «Skat» penetrates the leaf surface and is rapidly translocated via the phloem to the meristematic tissues—the growing points of roots and shoots. This systemic transport is critical for controlling aggressive perennial grasses such as couch grass (Elymus repens). By inhibiting fatty acid synthesis, the product effectively shuts down the energy metabolism of the weed, resulting in systemic chlorosis and eventual necrosis.
