The core of ONYX SL is dicamba, a benzoic acid derivative. As a systemic herbicide, it is absorbed through the leaves and roots, translocating throughout the weed’s tissues. By mimicking plant growth hormones (auxins), dicamba disrupts cell division, leading to uncontrolled growth, stem twisting, and eventual plant death. This systemic property ensures that even established perennial weeds are controlled at the root level.
