TERCEL ® is a new two-component fungicide containing the active ingredients pyraclostrobin and dithianon. Pyraclostrobin belongs to the newest generation of strobilurins. After application, it is absorbed by treated plant parts and distributed within them in a translaminar and locally systemic manner. Pyraclostrobin acts on the pathogen's mitochondria, blocking energy supply to cells, which causes the death of fungal spores and mycelium. In addition, deposits of the active ingredient are formed on leaves and fruits, tightly bound to their surfaces, thereby ensuring high resistance of the preparation to the effects of atmospheric precipitation. At the same time, upon moisture uptake, the pyraclostrobin reserves are continuously released, providing prolonged and effective protection of the plant during high infection pressure. Dithianon acts on the leaf surface contactually and prevents pathogens from penetrating into the plant. It suppresses many vital processes by inhibiting a broad range of enzymes in fungal cells. Treatments with TERCEL ® suppress the germination of spores and the growth of hyphal tubes of fungi, thereby preventing both the penetration of infection into the plant and its further development.
