Motor, SL contains Imazamox at a concentration of 40 g/l. As a systemic herbicide from the imidazolinone group, it inhibits the synthesis of essential amino acids (valine, leucine, and isoleucine) in the plant. By blocking the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, the product halts cell division at the weed's growing points. Due to its systemic movement through the phloem and xylem, the chemical reaches the root system of perennial weeds, ensuring complete suppression of their viability.

Technical Application Notes

The soluble concentrate formulation ensures rapid dissolution and stability of the spray mixture, which is crucial for uniform coverage during foliar application. The product is highly selective for crops such as soybeans, sunflowers, and peas. Its major advantage lies in the flexibility of the post-emergence application window, acting as a reliable rescue herbicide that allows for precision treatment after weed emergence.

Control Spectrum and Efficacy

Motor, SL effectively stops the development of many problematic species found in modern agroecosystems:

• Annual broadleaf weeds: Common lambsquarters, redroot pigweed, field mustard, shepherd's purse, common chickweed.
• Perennial and difficult-to-control species: Field bindweed, quackgrass, common ragweed.

The recommended application rate ranges from 0.75 to 1.2 l/ha, depending on weed pressure and botanical composition. Adhering to the regulation of maximum one treatment per season ensures robust control while maintaining crop safety and avoiding phytotoxic effects on the target culture.
