Mayalis Protect, SC is a highly efficient sulfonylurea herbicide containing 40 g/L of nicosulfuron. The technical advantage of this formulation lies in its systemic mobility. Once absorbed through the leaf cuticle, the active ingredient translocates through both phloem and xylem to the meristematic tissues. It inhibits the acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme, effectively halting cell division and leading to the rapid cessation of weed growth.

Manufactured by Hangzhou Ruijiang Chemical Co., Ltd., the SC (suspension concentrate) formulation provides superior tank-mix stability. Unlike dry formulations, this liquid suspension prevents dusting during batch preparation and ensures a uniform concentration of active ingredients in the spray tank. This is essential for achieving consistent coverage on difficult-to-wet grass weeds, such as green foxtail and barnyard grass, which often possess protective waxy cuticles.

Weed Control Spectrum and Application

The herbicide is engineered for high selectivity in maize. Corn plants rapidly metabolize nicosulfuron, allowing for post-emergence application without the risk of crop phytotoxicity.
