DIshed is a variety of tufted hairgrass, known by the Latin name Deschampsia caespitosa. The plant belongs to perennial grasses and is characterized by a dense clump of dark green leaves up to 60 cm long and 2–5 mm wide. The leaves are covered with microscopic barbs pointing in one direction, giving the plant a special texture: smooth on one side and slightly rough on the other.
DIshed hairgrass is highly resistant to unfavorable conditions. It grows excellently on various soil types – from clay to sandy, acidic and neutral, even in poor soils. Due to deep roots (up to 1 m) and the ability to reproduce both by seeds and underground shoots, the plant quickly recovers after cutting and maintains its decorative appearance throughout the season.
For greening lawns, landscape compositions and shaded areas, a consumption rate of 2 kg of seeds per 100 m² is recommended for DIshed. Seeds are available in 1 kg and factory packs of 20 kg. The product complies with standard GOST R 52325-2005 and has a shelf life of up to 3 years from the date of packaging. Hairgrass fits easily into both the foreground of flower beds and larger compositions, creating a movement effect thanks to panicle inflorescences up to 10-50 cm in height.
