Three-component systemic herbicide for the destruction of annual dicotyledonous and some grass weeds on sugar beet, fodder beet, and table beet crops.
Formulation: concentrate emulsion
Active substances: desmedifam, 71 g/l + fenmedifam, 91 g/l + etofumezate, 112 g/l.
Packaging: drum, 5 L.
Mode of action:
The active ingredients of the selective systemic herbicide Briton block vital systems in weeds.
Etofumezate acts as a pre-emergent and contact inhibitor, while fenmedifam and desmedifam are mobile inhibitors of photosynthesis. The combined action of these active ingredients causes irreversible processes in sensitive plants: disruption of photosynthesis, lipid synthesis, growth and cell division inhibition, and prevention of waxy coating formation. Signs of herbicide action on weeds include reduction of leaf color intensity and chlorosis. These symptoms appear 2–7 days after application.
Hazard class: 3. Low toxicity to mammals, non-toxic to bees. Toxic to fish.
Shelf life: 3 years from the date of manufacture, in unopened factory packaging.
Storage temperature: from +0°C to +30°C in specialized storage facilities.
Advantages of use:
broad spectrum of weed control, including the most problematic weeds on beet crops (lucerne, chickweed, mustard, crucifers);
rapid response of weeds to herbicide action;
compatible with other plant protection products;
sequential multiple applications after emergence ensure long-term weed control;
flexible dosage allows adjustment and minimization of application rates;
eliminates the need for manual hoeing in beet crops.
Special application notes:
Apply when air temperature is between +10°C and +25°C with adequate soil and air humidity;
optimal weed growth stage — cotyledon emergence. Further spraying is recommended every 7–10 days after previous application upon new weed emergence;
spraying is not recommended on wet plants after rain or dew;
maximum number of applications per season — 3. Dosage and number of applications may vary, but the total maximum herbicide application per season is 3 L/ha;
waiting period before work — 3 days for manual, 7 days for mechanical applications;
apply only freshly prepared working solution of the product at 200–300 L/ha during morning or evening hours, with wind speed up to 3–4 m/s.
