Description Gersotil
Systemic post-emergence selective herbicide that provides effective control of most annual and perennial broadleaf weeds, including 2,4-D-resistant species, in cereal crop fields.
Form and active ingredient:
Water-dispersible granules containing tribenuron-methyl, 750 g/kg.
Chemical class:
Sulfonylureas.
Packaging:
500 g bottles.
Speed of action:
Stops weed growth and development within 2–3 hours after application. Visible symptoms appear within 5–8 days, and weed death occurs within 15–20 days.
Mode of action:
The product is primarily absorbed by leaves and translocated to the growing point, where it inhibits acetolactate synthase enzyme, halting cell division and weed growth.
Properties and advantages:
Highly effective post-emergence systemic herbicide for controlling broadleaf weeds, including 2,4-D-resistant species, in winter and spring cereal crops;
Gersotil is approved for aerial application;
Application timing from the 2–3 leaf stage up to the flag leaf emergence;
Effective against sow thistle and sticky smartweed;
Compatible with most pesticides, allowing for integrated pest management;
No crop rotation restrictions;
Not washed away by atmospheric precipitation within 2 hours after application;
Fully degrades by harvest time;
One of the most significant advantages of GERSOTIL is the reduction in the amount of active ingredient applied per unit area. This is convenient to use (convenient packaging), cost-effective, and environmentally safe;
GERSOTIL affects enzymes present only in plants, making it practically non-toxic to animals and humans;
GERSOTIL has a wide application window, unlike hormonal herbicides;
GERSOTIL can be used on tribenuron-methyl-resistant sunflower hybrids.
