Insecticide-fungicide for protecting potatoes from chewing and sucking pests, as well as diseases of the stem.
Clotianidin, 207 g/l + penflufen, 66.5 g/l
Ready-to-use suspension concentrate
Clotianidin — mimics acetylcholine by continuously stimulating postsynaptic membrane receptors, which cannot be inhibited by acetylcholinesterase. Penflufen — inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase. Emesto® Quantum marks a new page in the use of seed protectants and is the first product containing the innovative active ingredient — penflufen, which belongs to the new chemical class of Alkylamides. Compared to current standards for controlling rhizoctonia (black scab) on potato tubers, penflufen requires significantly lower application rates (about 20 g per ton of seed) while maintaining or even improving efficacy. In addition, penflufen controls silver and common scab better than existing standards. Clotianidin — a well-known substance from the chloronicotinilide class, distinguished by high mobility within the plant and, conversely, low migration into lower soil layers compared to other substances in this class, and also characterized by a broader spectrum of activity.
Application recommendations
To prepare the working solution, dissolve the appropriate amount of the product in 10-20 liters of water and mix well. This working solution is sufficient for treating 1 ton of potato seed tubers. The amount of working solution depends on the size of the seed tubers (smaller tubers require more working solution). The working solution should be evenly sprayed (using a sprayer or other device) onto potato tubers prior to planting. Using diluted product improves coverage uniformity, which enhances efficacy. Tubers should be free of mechanical damage and free from fusarium and bacterial infections. When using mechanical planting, tubers are treated using a treatment device mounted on a planter or tractor equipped with appropriate manufacturer-provided equipment. The product should be applied onto a belt conveyor or spray pipe. This prevents friction between wet tubers and spread of bacterial diseases. In the case of treating tubers in planters, the working solution rate is higher and depends on equipment characteristics.
Emesto® Quantum 273.5 FS, should be applied immediately after dilution in water. The working solution should not be left for long periods without shaking. Treated seed material should be planted as soon as possible after treatment. It is not recommended to store treated seeds with deep grooves for extended periods, nor to increase the amount of working solution during storage.
