MECHANISM OF ACTION
The active ingredient of the product, tebuconazole, is an inhibitor of ergosterol biosynthesis — the main sterol in the cell wall of the fungus. Inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis leads to disruption of cell division processes and eventually to the death of the fungal organism.
The active substance is imazalil. It is a systemic fungicide with protective, eradicative, therapeutic and targeted effects on Fusarium and Helminthosporium root rot. In addition, it has translaminar activity. That is, after penetrating into the seed, imazalil moves upwards along the plant, eliminating diseases of the stem and leaves. It also shows quite toxic action on oomycetes - so-called Pythium fungi that cause rotting of seedlings, "damping off", phytophthora and other diseases. Imazalil enters biochemical reactions in the plant, namely — inhibits sterol synthesis, which reduces transpiration, improving plants resistance to drought. At early stages of development slows down the synthesis of gibberellins and acts as a growth regulator, i.e., it inhibits the process of lengthening internodes in cereals. This mechanism of action prevents excessive development of above-ground parts of the plant while simultaneously promoting the intensive development of the root system.
PROPERTIES
The active ingredients of Alpha-Protrevatel' are characterized by rapid fungicidal activity and therefore the product can be used for seed treatment immediately before sowing without a significant loss of efficiency. The fungicide has good secondary action against diseases of seedlings and sprouts. Fungicidal effect is manifested on day 2 after treatment.
Under conditions of sowing within 7-14 days after pelleting, most of the applied product passes into the growing and developing plant within 10-29 days after treatment. Long-lasting protective and curative effects are characteristic for Alpha-Protrevatel'. The fungicide provides sufficient protection to seed and seedlings and does not require enhancement of fungicidal activity at the expense of
other preparations. In case of necessity of use in mixture with other pesticides (insecticides), it is recommended to carry out preliminary test mixing of preparations.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Pelleting is recommended 7-14 days before sowing. The process takes place on special machines designed for pelleting by the semi-wet method. Before application, shake the can with the product thoroughly. Apply Alpha-Protrevatel' in dilution with water (6.0-12.0 l), depending on production conditions and type of machines.
Before pelleting, it is necessary to clean and calibrate seed material, as fractions of broken grain, dust and impurities can be the cause of
binding a significant amount of product.
