General information about the product:
Highly effective, two-component systemic fungicide for pre-sowing treatment of cereal seeds against complex diseases.
Mechanism of action of the product:
Larimar suppresses the development of fungi — pathogens of diseases — present on the surface of seeds, as well as those developing inside them. Tebuconazole inhibits the biosynthesis of ergosterol in the membranes of plant pathogen cells, leading to their death. Thiabendazole disrupts the process of nuclear cell division. Due to its movement toward the seed embryo, the product eliminates fusarium infection, and then moves to growth points, protecting seedlings and root systems from soil-borne pathogens. Therefore, the product Larimar is indispensable in modern grain production technologies using minimal or "zero" soil tillage, as well as in crop rotations with more than 50% cereal crops, where a high infection risk is created. The fungicide not only disinfects seeds but also partially disinfects the soil and plant residues around them.
General recommendations for using the product:
Seeds should be treated with Larimar in advance (1–2 weeks) or immediately before sowing. Treatment should be carried out with moistening. For treating 1 ton of seeds, usually 10 liters of water are used.
For treatment, it is recommended to use clean seeds free from dust and impurities to ensure good adhesion and, consequently, better treatment quality. The quality of treatment is controlled by the intensity of seed coloring with the dye included in the formulation. For treating seed material with Larimar, stationary or mobile equipment produced in series is used.
Preparation of the working solution of the product:
The working solution should be prepared immediately before seed treatment. The required amount of Larimar should be dissolved in a small volume of water and thoroughly mixed until a homogeneous suspension is obtained. The obtained mother solution, while continuously stirring, should be poured into the mixing tank of the seed treatment machine, which is filled to 1/3 of its capacity with water. After obtaining a homogeneous suspension, water should be added to the tank to the full volume, while continuously stirring, until a homogeneous suspension is obtained.
