Mode of action.

Carbendazim — systemic substance, penetrates into seeds and partially into the plant, actively kills pathogens causing powdery mildew, root and stem rots. Thiophanate-methyl — contact substance, eliminates and controls external infection, namely seedling rot and various types of mold.

Application recommendations

To achieve maximum effectiveness, the seed material should be cleaned and calibrated, as the presence of impurities (dust, plant residues, damaged seeds, etc.) can significantly reduce the effectiveness of the preparation.

To ensure maximum effectiveness of the contact component of the Viking preparation, seed treatment should be performed in advance — 7-14 days before sowing — to maximize the elimination of infection on the seed surface.

The moisture content of seeds to be treated should be 1% lower than the standard for conditioned seeds to avoid increased moisture due to treatment, which in turn may lead to reduced germination due to increased temperature during storage (self-heating).

Before use, the preparation must be thoroughly mixed in the canister. For seed treatment, a working solution is prepared by dissolving 2.5-3.0 liters of the preparation in 7.5-7.0 liters of water, respectively. During stops in the seed treatment machine, it is not recommended to leave the working solution for a long time without stirring. To ensure uniform coating of seeds with the working solution film during treatment, it is necessary to carefully monitor the amount of seed material passing through the treatment machine and the amount of working solution supplied to the treatment chamber.
