The «Капало® Про» (Capalo® Pro) fungicide from Basf S.A. is engineered as a high-intensity solution for modern cereal production. The technical core of this product lies in the synergistic combination of three active ingredients: Metrafenone, Pyraclostrobin, and Mefentrifluconazole. These components function through distinct biochemical pathways: Mefentrifluconazole inhibits fungal ergosterol biosynthesis, Pyraclostrobin disrupts mitochondrial respiration, and Metrafenone specifically interferes with pathogen infection structure development.

Technical Performance and Formulation

By blending systemic and contact action, Capalo® Pro addresses infections both preventively and curatively. The suspension concentrate formulation ensures high adhesion to the leaf surface, which is critical for performance under unpredictable weather patterns. The inclusion of strobilurins not only suppresses active infections but also provides a noticeable physiological benefit, delaying leaf senescence and increasing the crop’s resilience to environmental stress.

Application and Technical Standards

• Crops: Winter wheat, spring wheat, winter barley.
• Target Diseases: Complex of leaf spots (net, dark-brown, rhynchosporium), rust, septoria, and Fusarium head blight.
• Guidelines: Application rates range from 0.5 to 1.0 liters per hectare based on the phytosanitary profile of the field. A maximum of two treatments per season is recommended.

Thanks to its balanced chemical composition, Capalo® Pro effectively halts the progression of fungal pathogens even at late growth stages, significantly reducing the risk of yield losses from septoria and Fusarium. While categorized under hazard class 3, the product's high concentration of active substances allows for efficient management of plant health with a reduced volume of chemicals per hectare.
