Maize RVI 442 X RVI 441

Technological potential of the RVI 442 X RVI 441 hybrid

The French breeding school of Limagrain is renowned for its approach to optimizing the energetic values of corn. The RVI 442 X RVI 441 hybrid is a mid-early product focused on the segments of fresh consumption and deep industrial processing. The key feature of this genetics is the balance between the vegetation period and the physical-chemical properties of the endosperm.

Grain morphology and industrial suitability

The grain type is characterized by a rich yellow-orange color, which directly correlates with the carotenoid content. For processors, this means a high yield of finished products with predictable organoleptic properties. Grain density has been optimized to minimize milling percentages and losses during polishing or extrusion. In its fresh form, the hybrid exhibits excellent taste qualities, achieved through an optimal sugar profile during the milk-wax maturity phase.

Agronomic solutions

• Mid-early maturity cycle: allows for risk mitigation related to weather stress in the second half of summer and clears the field for subsequent crop rotations in a shorter timeframe.
• Biological plasticity: this Limagrain hybrid is adapted to intensive farming techniques, efficiently utilizing applied nutrients to form a high-quality cob.
• Trait stability: crop uniformity significantly simplifies the ripening process control, which is critical for planning harvest schedules at processing facilities.

By choosing RVI 442 X RVI 441, agricultural producers invest in proven French breeding, where every stage of plant development is aimed at obtaining high-quality commercial grain that meets food industry standards.
