Consistent performance in the field

When working with the F 84 hybrid from RAT, the first thing you notice is its predictability. This is a classic mid-maturing corn (108–116 days) that doesn't deliver unpleasant surprises as long as you follow basic agronomic practices. During planting, we stick to a density of 65,000–75,000 plants per hectare; this ensures full ear development without crowding the plants in 60–70 cm rows.

Operational features

Visually, the grain looks high-quality: the conical-cylindrical ear, with its bright yellow-orange hue, provides a good yield during threshing. We value the versatility of this hybrid. We use the harvest for both grain and feed, which simplifies logistics within the farm. The grain stores well and doesn't dry out excessively on the stalk if the harvest date needs to be delayed by a few days.

Agronomist recommendations

• Practice crop rotation: this hybrid requires fertile soil, so on depleted land, it is better to reduce the seeding rate to 55,000–65,000 plants/ha.
• Moisture release: the hybrid shows consistent results, helping to minimize post-harvest drying costs.
• Versatility: it fits well into intensive farming systems where maximizing yield per hectare while minimizing harvesting losses is the priority.
