DescriptionNOGANA
Camphorosma lessingii is a fodder shrub specifically developed within the framework of the V. R. Williams All-Russian Institute of Forage Crops and other scientific centers. The 'Nogana' variety is adapted to the conditions of the Caspian Semi-desert with an annual precipitation of 180–250 mm, is resistant to salt stress and moisture deficit, making it an ideal solution for arid regions.
Unlike natural pastures where productivity is only 1.5–3.0 c/ha of dry mass, 'Nogana' can form 18–20 c/ha. This significantly increases fodder availability and economic efficiency when growing on degraded lands. The plant withstands grazing well and can be used both in pastures and mowing grounds.
Camphorosma 'Nogana' is distinguished by high palatability and nutritional value, especially under dry climate conditions. It adapts easily to various soil types – from dry to moderately moist – and maintains the quality of fodder mass even with frequent use. Thanks to these properties, the plant is widely used in phytomelioration of depleted pasture lands, contributing to the restoration of the ecosystem and increasing the resilience of agricultural lands.
