Oyster mushroom «Somycel 512» – white medium-sized hybrid with a round and sturdy hat with a diameter of 4–6 cm. The fruit body has a dense texture, and the stem is solid, which allows for both manual and mechanical harvesting.

The yield of this strain reaches 20–28 kg/m² due to the even distribution of wave maturity, which extends the harvest period. To achieve maximum output, it is necessary to maintain compost moisture within 68–70%, total nitrogen content – 2–2.4%, pH 7–7.5, and temperature 20–22 °C. Irrigation is carried out on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 8th day after the start of growth.

Mushroom growth is optimal at an air temperature of 18 °C, humidity of 85–90%, and CO₂ level of 1200–1500 ppm. Compost is fully colonized in 12–14 days, and the thickness of the topsoil should be about 5 cm. Oyster mushroom «Somycel 512» is suitable for home cooking and commercial production thanks to its high productivity and ease of cultivation.
