Village Farms Reports Q2 2026 Results Driven by Record Cannabis Revenues
Vancouver-based Village Farms International has released its financial results for the second quarter of 2026, which ended on June 30. The company's growth was primarily driven by its cannabis operations, where it achieved record-setting performance metrics. Total consolidated net sales reached $64 million, marking a 27% increase sequentially and a 7% growth compared to the same period in the previous year.
The company’s financial health reflects strong operational efficiency. Net income reached $7.1 million, or $0.06 per share, while operating cash flow hit $8.9 million. The cannabis segment was a major highlight, with adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations totaling $15.3 million, representing 29% of total sales.
A significant milestone in the first half of 2026 was the achievement of record harvest yields at the company's Delta facilities. Village Farms emphasized that improved production processes have led to a more favorable cost of production. Furthermore, export sales saw an impressive surge, reaching $20.9 million, a 74% increase year-over-year and a 43% increase sequentially.
Michael DeGiglio, President and Chief Executive Officer, noted that the second-quarter results underscore the strength and resilience of Village Farms’ expanding global cannabis platform. The company is nearing the completion of its capital expenditure programs for expansion projects in the Netherlands and Canada. Village Farms closed the second quarter with a robust liquidity position, holding $73 million in cash.
These financial achievements position the company for continued growth as it leverages stable operational performance and strong product demand. As the cannabis market continues to evolve, Village Farms remains focused on scaling production and capturing new export opportunities, ensuring a competitive edge in both North American and international markets.
