The primary threats to Agrocharis include aphid infestations and various larvae that feed on the roots and tender foliage. Monitoring of the field should be frequent to detect these pests before they reach economic threshold levels.

Fungal pathogens such as powdery mildew represent a significant risk, especially in environments with high humidity and poor ventilation. Keeping the canopy open and dry is the best non-chemical method to prevent these outbreaks.

Soil-borne pathogens can be managed through strict adherence to crop rotation cycles. Avoiding monocultures of the Apiaceae family on the same plot for at least three to four years significantly reduces the risk of long-term soil contamination.

Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies, involving the use of beneficial insects or targeted biopesticides, are preferred over broad-spectrum chemicals. This approach preserves the local ecosystem and ensures healthier plant development.
