Aframomum is a genus of perennial herbaceous plants belonging to the Zingiberaceae family. Native to the tropical regions of Africa, these plants are well-adapted to warm, humid environments found in forest understories.
The successful cultivation of Aframomum requires consistently warm temperatures. Ideal growth is achieved when temperatures range from 20 to 30 degrees Celsius, with no significant exposure to cold or frost, which the plant cannot tolerate.
