Zucchini Ezra F1

Stable yields even under stress conditions

Hazera's Israeli breeding program has long established itself as a benchmark for reliability in vegetable production, and the "Ezra F1" hybrid is a prime example. In an era of unstable climate patterns, farmers aren't just looking for high yields—they are looking for guaranteed results. This zucchini variety is aimed at those who prioritize early market access: the first fruits are ready for harvest just 40-45 days after emergence.

What are the strengths of this hybrid?

• Pathogen Resistance: One of the main challenges in zucchini cultivation is viral pressure and powdery mildew. "Ezra F1" possesses complex resistance to Watermelon Mosaic Virus, Cucumber Mosaic Virus, and powdery mildew. This significantly reduces the need for constant fungicide and insecticide applications.
• Perfect Retail Appeal: The fruits feature a classic cylindrical shape and a light green color that is highly preferred by consumers. A length of 18-20 cm and a weight of 200-500 grams represent the "golden mean," making it ideal for both supermarkets and traditional wholesale markets.
• Compact Growth: The bush-type plant architecture simplifies crop management, allows for higher planting density, and makes harvesting much easier—the fruits remain visible and accessible, reducing the risk of accidental leaf damage during picking.

Who is this variety for?

"Ezra F1" is optimal for professional farms focused on the early market segment. Thanks to its strong genetic base, it is forgiving of minor agrotechnical errors, though it performs best with drip irrigation and balanced nutrition. One thing to keep in mind: like any early hybrid, it requires careful nutrient management during the peak fruiting phase, as it produces a concentrated, intense yield in a short window of time.

This zucchini is your top choice if you need to minimize the risk of crop loss from common diseases while delivering a premium-quality product as quickly as possible.
