Tomato Favorita F1

A Benchmark in the Cherry Tomato Segment

The «Favorita F1» tomato by De Ruiter Seeds has long established itself as a professional standard for greenhouse operations worldwide. Originating from the advanced Dutch breeding programs of Bayer Holland B.V., this indeterminate hybrid is celebrated for its reliable yields, consistent fruit quality, and strong resistance profile, making it a staple for premium produce suppliers.

Key Agricultural Features

The core appeal of the Favorita variety lies in its high-intensity production. It develops uniform, attractive trusses bearing vibrant red, round fruits weighing up to 20 grams each. Designed for professional cultivation, the hybrid exhibits robust health and significantly reduces the need for plant protection products thanks to its multi-disease resistance:

• Fusarium wilt and general Fusarium;
• Leaf mold (Cladosporium);
• Root-knot nematodes;
• Tobacco mosaic virus and other viral pathogens.

Market Performance and Reliability

For growers, De Ruiter Seeds represents the pinnacle of genetic consistency. Favorita F1 is highly adaptable to various greenhouse environments, whether under glass or plastic. While its indeterminate nature requires diligent pruning, the return on investment is clear: the fruits are firm, crack-resistant, and possess a long shelf life, which is essential for successful retail supply chains. The distinct "true tomato" flavor ensures repeat purchases from consumers who value quality over mass-market blandness.

Investing in Favorita F1 means choosing a proven professional tool. It offers the stability required for modern, intensive farming, ensuring that your greenhouse produces high-value, uniform tomatoes that meet the strictest market standards.
