Sunflower SOLNCEPEK

Stable yields in challenging climates

The «Solntsepyok» sunflower hybrid by Ooo Aktiv Agro is a specialized crop designed for growers facing high infection pressure. The development of this hybrid serves as a direct response to the spread of fungal diseases that annually threaten the profitability of oilseed crops in various agricultural regions.

Protection and Agronomic Efficiency

The primary advantage of «Solntsepyok» lies in its robust genetic resistance to white and grey mold. This is not merely a supportive feature but a core characteristic that allows the plant to maintain the integrity of its heads and stems, even under high humidity conditions during the maturation phase. Furthermore, the hybrid's tolerance to imidazolinone herbicides (the Clearfield or "Euro-Lightning" system) provides farmers with a powerful tool for field management.

Implementing the "Euro-Lightning" technology with this hybrid achieves several critical objectives:

• Complete control over all broomrape (Orobanche) races, which is essential for fields with high infestation levels.
• Effective eradication of broad-leaved and grass weeds in a single pass, eliminating the need for multiple herbicide applications.
• Reduced phytotoxic stress on the crop compared to traditional protection schemes.

Market Positioning

Ooo Aktiv Agro targets this hybrid at the intensive farming segment. The genetic potential of «Solntsepyok» is best realized when combined with modern weed control systems. It is the choice for farmers who prioritize predictable yields and weed-free fields at harvest time. The hybrid demonstrates consistency in both oil content and total yield, minimizing the risks associated with pathogen damage and weed competition.
