The hybrid was created based on exotic embryonic plasma by the All-Ukrainian Scientific Institute of Selection.
A single-seeded triploid hybrid on a sterile basis, oriented toward yield and sugar content. The hybrid is resistant to major diseases and meets the requirements of intensive cultivation technology. Seeds of the hybrid are produced using an original technology under Patent No. 15848336 (USSR).
During its testing on State Variety Testing Stations (1999-2001), the hybrid received high evaluations and demonstrated:
Root yield, tons/ha: 476
Sugar content, %: 16.6
Sugar harvest, tons/ha: 78.6
Sugar output at factory, tons/ha: 63.6
Coloration, %: 0.0
The hybrid has been included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2002, recommended for cultivation in the forest-steppe zone.
