The spring rape hybrid 'Almaz' is a medium-maturing 00-type variety characterized by the absence of erucic acid and low glucosinolate content. The plant reaches a medium height of about 105 cm, with green leaves of medium length and moderate leaf margin serration. The vegetation period is approximately 90-96 days, allowing the use of this hybrid for seed cultivation in various climatic conditions. Average seed yield reaches 11.8 ц/га (11.8 q/ha), with oil content in seeds at about 43.4%, ensuring high oil collection – up to 6.6 ц/га (6.6 q/ha). The 'Almaz' variety is distinguished by high resistance to major diseases such as powdery and downy mildew, as well as to pests, including sunflower moth and Striga. Moreover, the hybrid exhibits high drought and lodging resistance, making it a reliable choice for various agro-climatic zones. Seeds of the variety are large, black in color with gray stripes, with a high protein content (about 17.7%) and oil (44-48%), while hulling does not exceed 24%. These characteristics allow the 'Almaz' seeds to be used in the food industry, including as a substitute for nut raw materials. For optimal cultivation, it is recommended to maintain a certain planting density: in steppe areas – 30-34 thousand plants per hectare, in forest-steppe – 36-40 thousand plants per hectare. Thanks to its agronomic and technological properties, the hybrid 'Almaz' is a promising choice for obtaining high-quality rape raw materials with high oil yield and resistance to adverse factors.
