Hybrid sunflower NS H 7258, known as Raptor, is a medium-early hybrid developed by the Institute of Field Crop Research in Novi Sad, Serbia. The vegetation period lasts 103-106 days, allowing effective crop rotation planning and soil preparation for subsequent winter crops. Plants reach an average height of 150-170 cm, have strong stems and a robust root system, providing resistance to lodging and good adaptation to various agroecological conditions. The hybrid exhibits high resistance to downy mildew (A-G) and tolerance to rust, sunflower moth, Phomopsis, Macrophomina, leaf and stem spot diseases, and white rot. These characteristics make Raptor a reliable choice for cultivation in various regions, including forest-steppe, central, and southern steppes, with recommended planting density ranging from 45,000 to 60,000 plants per hectare depending on the zone. NS H 7258 possesses high genetic yield potential, reaching over 55 centners per hectare under optimal conditions, and high oil content in seeds — from 47% to 50%. Seeds are black, medium-sized, with a 1000-seed weight of 60-75 grams and a moisture content of 23-25%.
