Sunflower seeds LG50450 are a mid-early to early hybrid developed by Limagrain to achieve high and stable yields under various climatic conditions, especially in the Steppe and Forest-Steppe regions of Ukraine. This hybrid exhibits high plasticity and adaptability, enabling it to thrive even under limited water availability and short vegetation periods. Plants reach an average height of about 150 cm, with a flower head diameter of approximately 17 cm and a thousand seed weight of 69.5 g, indicating good morphological characteristics for efficient production.

LG50450 possesses high resistance to major sunflower diseases, including Phomopsis, root and head rot, black and dry rot, as well as new races of downy mildew. Special attention has been paid to resistance to races A-G of downy mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss. The hybrid is also tolerant to rust, Septoria, and Alternaria, making it a reliable choice for farmers aiming for stable and high-quality yields.

Recommended cultivation technology is conventional, with seeding rates ranging from 45 to 55 thousand seeds per hectare depending on soil moisture. Thanks to its high initial growth energy and drought tolerance, LG50450 can form an early yield even under challenging conditions, allowing its use for late plantings and establishing a flowering and harvesting production line. The hybrid combines well with other varieties such as LG5580 and Tunka, expanding agrotechnical planning options.
