Mechanism and Efficacy

Acting as a post-emergence foliar herbicide, Kvisan is absorbed primarily through the leaves, from where it is translocated systematically throughout the plant. It inhibits acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), an essential enzyme for fatty acid synthesis in grasses. This specific action leads to the rapid cessation of growth and eventual necrosis of the roots and meristematic tissues.
