Harvard is a selective soil-applied herbicide based on acetochlor, designed to protect key field crops: soybeans, sunflowers, and corn. Its primary advantage lies in its ability to suppress weeds before they even emerge, providing the crop with a "clean start" during the most critical stage of development.

Efficiency and Mode of Action

The product functions as a systemic herbicide, inhibiting cell division and protein synthesis in weed plants. Through soil application, the active ingredient is evenly distributed in the top layer of the soil, creating a "barrier" that stops germinating seeds of broadleaf and grass annuals.

It is important to note that Harvard falls under the 3rd hazard class, so when handling this emulsifiable concentrate, strict adherence to application protocols is mandatory. As a pre-emergence herbicide, it requires a well-prepared soil surface (free of large clods) and sufficient soil moisture, which is critical for activating the acetochlor. Only one application per season is allowed.

The product is a result of a collaboration between Shanghai Bioagriland Crop Care (China) and the production facilities of the "Agrochemical Factory" (Ukraine), combining international synthesis technologies with adaptation to local agricultural conditions.
