Universal contact herbicide
Formulation
Aqueous solution containing 360 g/l glyphosate. A systemic, broad-spectrum herbicide intended for control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds, including their underground and above-ground parts, as well as undesirable woody and shrub vegetation.
Active ingredient characteristics
Vortex penetrates weeds through the leaves and is translocated throughout the plant, including the root system. Weeds die within 5-10, up to 30 days (depending on weather and species). Symptoms of herbicide action manifest as yellowing, then browning and wilting of leaves.
Spectrum of activity
Vortex is recommended for control of annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds, including persistent species such as creeping bentgrass, common burdock, field bindweed, gray goosegrass, etc. It is also effective against aquatic weeds (cattail, bulrush, etc.) and undesirable woody and shrub vegetation (aspen, birch, alder, willow, etc.). The product is registered for sale and use in the Russian Federation.
Working solution rate
100-300 l/ha. Water used to prepare the working solution must be clean.
Packaging
10 and 20 L cans;
10 ml packets, 80 and 120 ml bottles.
Preparation of working solution
The working solution is prepared immediately before application. Fill the sprayer tank to 1/3 with water, add the required amount of product (80 or 120 ml), top up to 10 liters, mix the solution, and proceed with application.
Application specifics
Effect of the product is visible on annual weeds within 2-4 days, and on perennial weeds within 7-10 days. Cold and rainy weather following application may delay visible effects. Vortex is most effective against weeds in early growth stages or rosette phase, especially when soil moisture is adequate. Spraying is not recommended during severe drought. Avoid application if heavy rain or dew is expected within 5-6 hours after spraying, as it dilutes the product on leaf surfaces and reduces efficacy. Vortex has no soil activity; other herbicides are required to control secondary weed emergence.
