Systemic post-emergence herbicide for the control of annual broad-leaved and perennial root-escaping weeds in rape and mustard crops.
• Active ingredients: cloquarid 267 g/l + picloram 67 g/l
• Formulation: aqueous solution
Systemic herbicide for post-emergence control of annual and biennial root-escaping broad-leaved weeds in rape and mustard crops.
GALEON 33.4% a.s. — highly effective against perennial and annual broad-leaved weeds of the families Lamiaceae (Labiatae Juss), Asteraceae (Asteracea Dumort), Solanaceae, and some species of Polygonaceae (Polygonacea Juss) and Rubiaceae (Rubiacea Juss).
SPECTRUM OF ACTION:
Highly sensitive:
Ambrosia artemisiifolia, burdock, blue violet, field vetch, dock, darnel (species), medicinal camomile, clover (species), cocklebur, common hawkweed, common motherwort, Tatarian milkweed, sowthistle (species), black nightshade, sticky tormentil, field bindweed, chamomile (species).
Sensitive:
Common pansy (up to flowering), common starwort, self-seeding poppy (stage 2-4 leaves), white mullein (up to 4 leaves), field forget-me-not.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Galeon is a systemic herbicide. Cloquarid and picloram are readily absorbed by leaves and rapidly translocated throughout the plant, including the root system, to growing points. Both active substances are synthetic analogs of natural auxin-type hormones. When applied as herbicides, they substitute for and block natural hormone functions in sensitive plant species, leading to their death due to disruption of growth processes. Root systems of sensitive weed species are destroyed.
Symptoms of action:
Thickened, bent and twisted stems, shoots and leaves, narrow leaves with hard growths, wrinkled leaves, hard growths and cracks on leaves. Environmental conditions affecting weed growth and development also affect the speed of active substance movement within the plant.
Unfavorable weather conditions delay the appearance of symptoms, but do not affect the final efficacy.
DURATION OF PROTECTIVE ACTION:
Galeon 33.4% a.s. controls sensitive weed species whose seedlings were present at the time of application throughout the growing season. Growth of sensitive weeds stops within 2 hours after application. First signs of action appear 12-18 hours after spraying. Complete mortality occurs within 14-21 days after application depending on weed species composition. The product remains effective even after rain for 1 hour after application.
