Synergy of Triazoles for Cereal Protection

The efficacy of «Osiris® Star» by Basf S.A. is built on a high-performance combination of two triazoles: metconazole and epoxiconazole. From a technical standpoint, this blend is designed to close the spectrum gaps often present in single-molecule fungicides. Epoxiconazole provides superior residual protection and rapid stop-effect against septoria, while metconazole serves as the core solution for controlling Fusarium head blight, penetrating deep into plant tissues to disrupt fungal development.

Technical Specifications

• Systemic Action: The product exhibits excellent xylem mobility, ensuring protection for both the existing canopy and newly formed growth.
• Disease Spectrum: Targets a wide range of pathogens including leaf rust, stem rust, powdery mildew, net blotch, and rhynchosporium.
• Dosage Flexibility: Application rates range from 0.5 to 1.0 L/ha for foliage diseases and up to 2.0 L/ha for intensive head protection during flowering.

Formulated as an emulsifiable concentrate, the product ensures rapid absorption through the plant cuticle, minimizing wash-off risks and maximizing efficacy under varying climatic conditions. «Osiris® Star» remains stable at moderate temperatures, allowing for broader application windows on winter and spring wheat and barley. With a limit of two applications per season, it provides a robust framework for disease management, effectively preventing yield losses and protecting grain quality at the most critical growth stages.
