Field performance: Why we rely on Kinosura

When managing winter wheat, the priority is to keep the flag leaf and the head free from fungal infections. We have been using the Kinosura fungicide from Shandong Weifang Rainbow as a core tool to address major pathogens, providing a robust solution against diseases like septoria, leaf spots, and powdery mildew.

Dual-action chemistry

The strength of this product lies in its synergistic composition: thiophanate-methyl and epoxiconazole. As a systemic fungicide, it moves through the plant tissues quickly. The benzimidazole group (thiophanate-methyl) stops fungal mycelium development, while the triazole component (epoxiconazole) provides strong curative effects. In the field, we see it halt the progression of rust and spotting almost immediately after application.

Operational insights

• Application rates: We apply at a rate of 0.4–0.6 L/ha. If the infection pressure is high, we stick to the higher end of the range. For prophylactic measures, the lower rate is usually sufficient.
• Usage limit: The product allows for a maximum of 2 applications per season, which covers the critical growth stages of the wheat.
• Formulation: It comes as a suspension concentrate. From an operator's perspective, it is easy to mix, doesn't clog nozzles, and maintains a stable solution in the sprayer tank, saving valuable time during peak season.

With a hazard class of 2, standard protective equipment is mandatory when handling the chemical. Because Kinosura is systemic, it is absorbed rapidly, providing resistance against rainfall washing — a crucial factor for spring applications.
