F1 Junior Lieutenant — a high-yielding, early maturing, parthenocarpic bush-type hybrid of zucchini for open field and protected ground cultivation. Characterized by vigorous growth, abundant fruit set, good lateral branching, combined with a 2nd type of self-regulating branching. Forms 2-3 to 5-7 or more fruits per node. Due to the high number of fruits, the hybrid can be grown for harvesting and preserving micro-pickles (3-5-day-old fruits, 3-5 cm long). Zucchinis are bright green, bumpy, white-tipped, 9-12 cm long, with crisp flesh. Bump frequency is medium. Salting, flavor, and preservation qualities are high. The hybrid is resistant to powdery mildew, olive spot, and common cucumber mosaic virus, and tolerant to false powdery mildew.
Planting density in greenhouses: 2.5 plants/m2, in open ground: 3-4 plants/m2.
